Qualified and developing
Ongoing education is part of the promise. I stay committed to practical, ethical learning that helps me coach both dogs and owners well.
Founder of Wilson's Dog Training, Victoria Stilwell Certified Dog Trainer, and a passionate advocate for ethical, enjoyable training for pet gundogs and family dogs alike.
I set up Wilson's Dog Training after struggling to find local force-free, ethical training for pet gundogs. I wanted to help my own dogs develop their natural abilities while building a strong, trusting partnership through kind, positive methods, and I knew other owners were looking for the same thing.
My approach is rooted in positive reinforcement, clear communication, and dog welfare. I want owners to feel supported and capable, and I want dogs to enjoy the work rather than be pressured through it.
I am a Victoria Stilwell Certified Dog Trainer and have completed the Gundog Trainers Academy Handlers Course. I am currently progressing through their Teachers Course, the only ABTC-accredited gundog course in the UK. That professional development matters to me because ethical standards, welfare, and good teaching should be at the centre of every lesson.

This certification reflects a commitment to modern, ethical dog training standards and continuing professional development.

This certification supports safe, structured canicross leadership and adds to the practical coaching background behind Wilson's Dog Training.
My own dogs have shaped the way I train. My Labrador completed Grade One and my German Shorthaired Pointer achieved Grade Two, including her first shoot day.
Ongoing education is part of the promise. I stay committed to practical, ethical learning that helps me coach both dogs and owners well.
I train with patience, clarity, and respect for the dog in front of me. The aim is confident, willing work and a stronger relationship at home.
Sessions are delivered professionally and responsibly, with owner support and dog welfare treated as a non-negotiable part of the service.
In specialise in life skills training, helping dogs become confident, well-mannered companions with practical day-to-day reliability. That foundation still matters deeply to me because good communication, steadiness, and trust make everything else easier.
I also offer one-to-one gundog lessons focused on life skills, ethical hunting games, and retrieving games so pet gundogs can enjoy using their natural instincts in a positive, sensible way. I love supporting owners who want either a calmer family dog or a thoughtful introduction to their dog's working heritage.
